April designed a post card that could be enclosed in brochures to be returned to Assumption home if volunteers or seniors in need wish to participate in Faith in Action. The committee plans to have the cards printed in the very near future.
RSFIA information was given by Jan Luthens. Ron from Faith In Action Office said inquiries have increased especially from cold Spring. Needs to have more volunteers from Cold Spring. There were 58 inquiries in Oct. and 51 in Sept. Ron and his assistant are very organized and responsible for meeting expectations of this office. The committee is pleased to hear this!!!
Duane Kuss has had his Digilog presentation on Channel 10 featuring information about Faith In Action the Cold Spring Connection. He will give the committee a copy.
Betty Johnson handed out Faith in Action brochures at the Super Valu on “Senior Wednesday” and found it a good experience. She ran out of brochures so plans to do this sometime in the future. Also left pamphlets at the new Clinic, Peace Lutheran and left some with the Police chief. All appreciated the information.
In March there will be a Business and Resource day at the High School. Committee is asked to consider having a booth with brochures to continue the marketing Faith in Action needs in Cold Spring area.
An intern from St. John’s wants to work with city planning and 20/20 will be doing some work with the student. No details at this time.
Plans for 2006 will be discussed at the next meeting.
Next meeting at 4:00 p.m. at Assumption on Jan. 19.
